Prince of Wales Visits Annapolis

I thought this was an interesting part of Annapolis history...

After World War I, the Prince of Wales was sent on a goodwill tour to the United States. The Prince, who would later be known as King Edward VIII, visited several places around the DC area during his trip in 1919. He went to Mount Vernon where he laid a wreath at the tomb of George Washington as his grandfather, Edward VII had in 1860. The Prince also stopped by Walter Reed to pay his respects to the wounded soldiers.

One of his other stops was the Naval Academy in Annapolis. He is seen here with then President, Woodrow Wilson.
